The hotel was special, with competent staff. This location was perfect and comfortable, just next door to the sea between Southwold and a good restaurant being onsite. We could drink something at Mercat Bar, located 1 km away.

Everything was great, I would recomand. That was nice little hotel set in fairly nice area, just off the beach 5 minute walk to Southwold 10-15 minutes and the marina. I had superb food for breakfast with generous portions.

The superior king room was decent sized with great views across the fields, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The total stay was pleasant on the first night of your stay. The location was convenient for exploring this wonderful area, so close to the beach beyond the dunes as well as old harbour and Walberswick ferry. Btw, it was not too far away from Buckenham Galleries. We got freshly prepared breakfasts with generous portions.

The standard double room was top-notch with short walk to seas edge, extra touches of biscuits, for instance. The staff were easy going and decent and the location was magnificent to the flooded fields which had attracted hundreds of wildfowl.

Nothing beats being in Sail Loft. The views were beautiful. Close to the beach. Sole Bay Fish Co, where you can eat, is just a walk down to the hotel.
